About

Darwin Mott has spent the past 35+ years researching what he believes is the first and only true management science.  In Human Resources and Safety roles and consulting work, he has reality-tested this science in construction, mining, manufacturing, telecommunications and retail.

A Saskatchewan born and raised farm kid, he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Michigan Technological University.  After a brief professional hockey career and before his 30th birthday, he was disillusioned with working in a large bureaucratic system.  Then he read "A General Theory of Bureaucracy" by the late Dr. Elliot Jaques.  This and the other works by Jaques and a slow-growing number of colleagues worldwide, led in 1999 to Darwin becoming a Charter Member of the Requisite Organization International Institute (see www.requisite.org)

Much of Darwin's experience has been on high profile, safety-sensitive Saskatchewan projects including the Shand Power Station, the McClean Lake Uranium Mill, the P.A. Pulp Mill Wood Waste/Low Odour Expansion, the Consumers Co-op Refinery Ltd.'s Section IV Expansion and the K+S Legacy Project.

Darwin is President of Darwin Mott Consulting Ltd. (established in 1990) to provide clients with expert consultative work in matters of Occupational Health & Safety and Organization Design & Development.

Darwin and his wife Gail reside in Regina, Canada.
